Backdraft BBQ was established in 2023 by a dedicated group of firefighters with a deep passion for great BBQ. Our journey began with a shared love for smokey, flavorful food and a strong desire to give back to the first responder community. We believe that BBQ should not only taste amazing but also be made with ingredients that are good for you. That's why all of our rubs and seasonings are crafted with healthful, high-quality components that elevate your grilling experience.
Our Ingredients
Our signature blends are made with Himalayan Pink Salt, known for its over 20 different health benefits, including improved hydration, respiratory health, and bone strength. This unique salt is the cornerstone of our recipes, adding a distinct, mineral-rich flavor to every bite.
We also use Turbinado Sugar, a less processed alternative to white sugar. This natural sweetener retains more nutrients and antioxidants from sugar cane, such as calcium, magnesium, and potassium, along with small amounts of iron, phosphorus, sodium, and zinc. The result is a deeper, more complex sweetness that enhances the natural flavors of your meats and vegetables.
